My favourite from London Fashion Week (which occurred towards the end of February), was high-street hipster fashion label, Topshop Unique. Kate Phelan, former Fashion Director at British Vogue, landed the position as creative director at the label, and did a fabulous job capturing the edginess and polished look of London street style. The collection withheld strong structure and emphasized line, while staying muted with rich and neutral earth tones. Billowing maxi coats, elongated sweater dresses, and dolman sleeved dresses were amongst the line up. A black velvet jumpsuit also stood out and caught a positive glimpse of many. I found that the collection really captured the entire essence of fall, and I can hardly wait for the next season!
