Why you clicked on this post could’ve been for two reasons: 1) You love Stella McCartney as much as I do and your invite to her London Fashion Week show was lost in the mail as well, or 2) You saw the feature cover picture and wondered why the models were standing in such awkward looking positions. Stella is no stranger to hosting a lovely runway show, featuring her stunning, feminine collections, but this time she added in some quirkiness which seemed to work in her favour. The famous designer, daughter of Paul McCartney, hosted a party last Saturday night in London, where she had elegant decor and divinely finished tables scattered around the room. The models weaved their way around the tables, dancing and moving in odd ways, putting on a “flash mob” performance. They would periodically stop and pose so that viewers could actually get a great close up of the designs, and then would carry on dancing and playfully moving the garments around. The night started off with a vegetarian dinner and magic show, followed by some cirque du soleil inspired acts. Some of the party goers included Rihanna, Alexa Chung, Kate Moss, and Anna Wintour. It was a huge success and everyone applauded Stella on her uniqueness and interesting way of displaying her collection.
Watch the video to view the preformance and dinner party. Oh, and don’t get too caught up in the show – take a close look at the garments as well – the prints and pieces accentuating a woman’s body are gorgeous.
