As everyone knows, last night was the 54th Grammy Awards, celebrating the best in music for 2011. Youthful soul artist, Adele, made her comeback after throat surgery, and her acceptance speech touched many. She proved to all of us never to give up on your dreams, even if it might seem for a second they may be taken away from you. Award season is my favourite for star fashion, and each year it gets better and better.
Rihanna literally brought “sexy back” flaunting her glowing skin off in a gorgeous, backless Armani number.
Carrie Underwood looked stunning in this sparkling white, floor length gown designed by Gomez-Gracia. She was a vision!
Katy Perry rocked the red carpet solo, but solo or not, she would have shone. This gorgeous baby blue textured dress by Ellie Saab was the perfect tint to show off her vibrant blue hair. I loved everything about this!
Taylor Swift? Is that you? This number shocked many but was a favourite by all! Taylor ditched her usual sweet and flirty look for a more serious, elegant number. The gold was a great match for her. Dress was designed by Zuhair Murad.
Adele! How could we not love her? She chose the perfect dress for her curvy body type, adding a touch of colour with red lipstick. The ensemble was a perfect fit for her, and her newly died blonde hair was soft and bouncy, looking truly glam from head-to-toe. Her glittery black floor length was another dress of the night by Armani.
Although we aren’t sure who indie singer, Lykke Li, was wearing tonight, she sported an all black ensemble which was serious and muted. During the Grammy’s, all stars try to outshine each other by looking the most glam or by wearing tons of bling, but what I loved about Lykke’s look was that she was understated and didn’t add anything unneccessary. It was simple and minimalistic which worked for her and she looked very classy.
